Hello
Since I updated kde this morning, the fonts in gtk apps became ugly. I removed all fonts.conf and gtk conf files but nothing changed. I also tried others programs like lxappearance or gtk-kde4 instead of gtk-qt-engine but no change.
Any advice ?
thank you :-)

As far as I know the .gtkrc-2.0 in your home folder is the file witch determines gtk2 font. So if you don't have one, create one.
gtk-font-name="DejaVu Sans 9"
Add that line and you have DejaVu Sans as font.
I personally use oxygen-molecule-theme from AUR and it works just perfect, you could also try that.

and .gtkrc-2.0 is in home directory or .kde4 directory ?

Home directory, it doesn't exist by default.
It seems that the mirror that pkgbuild is using isn't up at the moment, you can find the files at http://kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=103741
It doesn't have anything to do with fonts btw, it's only theme which fits well with default oxygen theme.

I have this in home/.gtkrc-2.0-kde4
# This file was written by KDE
# You can edit it in the KDE control center, under "GTK Styles and Fonts"
include "/usr/share/themes/QtCurve/gtk-2.0/gtkrc"
include "/etc/gtk-2.0/gtkrc"
style "user-font"
{
font_name="Trebuchet MS"
}
widget_class "*" style "user-font"
gtk-theme-name="QtCurve"
gtk-font-name="Trebuchet MS 9"
and this in .kde4/gtkrc-2.0
include "/usr/share/themes/QtCurve/gtk-2.0/gtkrc"
include "/home/gillian/.themes/QtCurve/gtk-2.0/gtkrc"
#gtk-theme-name="qt4"
gtk-font-name="Trebuchet MS 9"
gtk-icon-theme-name="oxygen"
gtk-icon-sizes = "panel-menu=16,16:panel=16,16:gtk-button=22,22:gtk-large-toolbar=22,22"
which one I keep ?

Both I guess. Just change gtk-font-name="Trebuchet MS 9" to what ever font you want to use.

Oh, that file is .gtkrc-2.0-kde4
It should be .gtkrc-2.0 with out the -kde4 suffix. I don't know what happens if you just rename it, you could create new one with
gtk-font-name="DejaVu Sans 9"
but then you won't have QtCurve theme, just the font

doesn't work.
after relogging,it recreated a .gtkrc-2.0-kde4
don't really know what to do !

I'm pretty much out of ideas, gtk-kde4 probably creates .gtkrc-2.0-kde4 file - it could be a bug that it doesn't work but even then after deleting it and creating .gtkrc-2.0 file with font configs - gtk apps should inherit that. Well I guess I have to leave it to someone else to solve

thank you anyway ^^
