delicious bookmarks plugin cant sync in extra/firefox 3.6.8-10

has anyone experienced this yet?  if you go to tools-->delicious_options-->"Advanced"-->"Full_Sync", you get a dialog box saying that progress will be shown in status bar but the usual progress widget never shows up and nothing syncs.  i have tried deleting all profile information and reinstalling to no avail.  This problem occurs on both i686 and x86_64 systems with 3.6.8-10 and Delicious Bookmarks 2.1.102 (DB).

is there somewhere i should be looking for debugging output from this particular "add-on" or an error console on namoroka that would provide more specific documentation of this problem?

/edit: the only reason i am posting this thread on the arch forum is that i have the Mozilla build of 3.6.8 running on XP at work and DB is running without issue in that environment.  im not saying that the firefox package from [extra] is broken, just that something is up and that this package is _associated_ with the problem...
