Hi all, ok I've got the following problem. i don't run any Windows even though I've got a msdnaa licensed Windows 7 that has had it's only run at a LAN party and is without anti virus software.
Now I've got a lot of Data that I want to share with a few Windows using friends, for example on a USB Key as a birthday present.
The problem now is that this data came from windows machines and I really don't want to give Windows using friends a Virus so what can I do to scan these
files on my Linux? Is Clamav up to date enough to suffice?

Yes.
Philosophy is looking for a black cat in a dark room. Metaphysics is looking for a black cat in a dark room that isn't there. Religion is looking for a black cat in a dark room that isn't there and shouting "I found it!". Science is looking for a black cat in a dark room with a flashlight.

Yes.
Just make sure that you either run freshclam before you do or set it to auto-update.
