Can't use winamp skin on audacious
Hi
i have a small issue with audacious . I donwload winamp skins and copy them to /usr/share/audacious/Skins or /local/share/audacious/skins , i ve tried them both .
I can see the skin on the preferences but when i choose it nothing happens . With xmms i don't have this issue but i prefer audacious .
WHat might be the issue ?

Hi.
/local/share/audacious/skins/SKIN_FOLDER
Right Click>Properties>Permissions
Select your user group
and click Read&Write
Open audacious.Press Ctrl+P refresh skin browser.

tried that , already the permissions are as it should . I can see the skin at the preferences but when i choose it nothing happens.
Also running audacious -i skinned and choosing the skin that i want , i can't see anything at the output

Anyone who has managed to get winamp skins work on audacious ? It's weird that it works with xmms and not with audacious

Note: It's not all winamp skins that audacious can use.
Do also try installing the skins locally instead of globally:
~/.local/share/audacious/Skins

I was having the same issue, for me the solution was to unzip or untar them, after that all skins worked to perfection. For some reason audacious didnt want to load compressed skins.
