X crashes in specific circumstances with Xft.antialias: 0

I dont like the blurry look of font smoothing, so i put this in my .Xresources:

Xft.antialias: 0
Xft.hinting: 1
Xft.hintstyle: hintfull
Xft.rgba: rgb

It worked quite nice for some time. A few days ago, i tested htmldoc, and my X died when the file open dialog pops up. It worked without wm, so i thought it might be my fault, because i use a heavy modified dwm. Later i found that http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interrobang also crashed X.
So i tried to find the problem. By pure chance i found that when the .Xresource is not loaded, everything runs fine. Removing the Xft.antialias: 0 line solves problem also. So, as it seems, having antialias disabled crashes X on some circumstance (maybe some weird chars, like the mentioned interobang).

I have searched around a bit, but find nothing relevant, not even a bugtracker for xft. It seems there is only a mailing list. Has anyone else this problem? Or even better, a solution?
