nspluginwrapper: no appropriate viewer found for /usr/lib/nspluginwrapper/i386/plugins/libflashplayer.so
To use the flash player in firefox, you must set
  dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.libflashplayer.so
to true in about:config.

dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.libflashplayer.so was already set to "true".  But now I have no flash, and there's nothing in the plugins directory.  I tried

ln -s /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/npwrapper.libflashplayer.so ~/.mozilla/plugins
ln -s /usr/lib/nspluginwrapper/i386/plugins/libflashplayer.so ~/.mozilla/plugins

but it didn't do any good.   What to do?

Re: [SOLVED] flashplugin from multilib problems

Seems like maybe

nspluginwrapper: no appropriate viewer found for /usr/lib/nspluginwrapper/i386/plugins/libflashplayer.so

is the problem?  I don't have much of an idea what that means, though.

Re: [SOLVED] flashplugin from multilib problems

The solution was that I had to explicitly install gcc-libs-multilib.  Oh well.

Re: [SOLVED] flashplugin from multilib problems

Hmm, shouldn't there be a dependency in nspluginwrapper, flashplugin or firefox? opera already depends on gcc-libs-multilib ...
