Hi,
There's no Networking Interface icon in my notebook's tray after the KDE 4.5 upgrade. Starting KNetworkManager from the main menu doesn't make any difference. How am I supposed to get it back?

Have you installed "kdeplasma-applets-networkmanagement" and added the widget to the system tray?
If it still doesn't appear, perhaps delete all of you KDE config (~/.kde4) and start with fresh configs.

Maybe...
Right click on system tray -> system tray settings -> display -> network management.

Thanks! Check System Tray Settings->Display->Network Management

the main part: I removed several times my .kde4 with re installing "kdeplasma-applets-networkmanagement" but it doesn't work. When I try to activate it in system tray and press OK, nothing is changing, the knetwormanger button looks like not activated.
when I run knetworkmanager in a terminal, I have this message: "Another NetworkManager client is already running. Use KNetworkManager in future? " I say "yes" but nothing change

solved by installing knetworkmanager-svn instead of kdeplasma-applets-networkmanagement
