glibc is finally free software

Thought this was interesting -- glibc hasn't been truly free software until a week ago.

The important thing is that these things can be responded to fast once they show up, or at the very least once they become a problem. Up until fairly recently there was a similar problem in X which went widely ignored (though a known problem).

But yes, it's good it was found, and dealt with smile

Of course, Debian and Fedora (mentioned in the article as striving to be 100% Free Software) include binary blobs in their kernels, but ah well tongue
