I have a fairly clean install of Arch with Openbox as my WM on this netbook.
The following Fn+Fx keys appear to work as they are returning a value, shown in ( ) using the showkey command:
F1 (142) - Icon indicated sleep mode -- not working
F5 (224) - This dims the screen -- Working
F6 (225) - Brightens the screen -- Working
F8 (227) - I *think* this is for switching monitors if an external is connected -- Not able to test
F10 (113) - Muted speaker in Windows 7 - Not yet tested in Linux
F11(114) - Decreased Volume - Not yet tested in Linux
F12(115) - Increase Volume _ Not yet tested in Linux
How is the best way to get these other keys configured and functioning? What I would really like is for one of the keys to disable my touchpad the Fn+F3 did this in Windows 7.
Thanks,
Kent

OK, now I feel really stupid. I read the Extra Keyboard Keys wiki at least three times yesterday. Somehow I missed step 2 every time.
