Proxy settings of chrome or chromium don't take effect

I'm using archlinux+kdemod 4.5.
The proxy setting of all versions of chrome or chromium seems not to take effect because my ip address doesn't change(http://www.ip-adress.com/) .
I also tried swithcy! proxy but it doesn't help.
However, starting the chrome with "--proxy-server=ip:port" can enable the proxy.
any ideas?
thx~

Do you use the all_proxy environmental variable?

output nothing.
