Opera 8 beta 3 is slow to startup.

After booting up, Opera 8 beta 3 takes 40 seconds to start while Firefox takes only 8 seconds.  Has anyone run into this problem?  There's nothing wrong with Firefox, but I'm very used to Opera.

Yep, Opera started to start slowly from time to time :-( One of the 'not-so-good' solutions is to empty cache on exit (preferences -> advanced -> history), it ought to shorten loading time a bit.

Opera 8 beta 3 starts fine with me... no issues noticed there so far...

I fixed the slow startup disabling "Disk Cache"
Preference-->Advanced-->History-->Disk Cache-->Off

Startup Time before disabling "Disk Cache" was about 15 seconds.
Now it takes 4 to 5 seconds.
