Can't listen online radio on browser

New problem sad

Yesterday I try to listen the flaixbac online radio (http://www.radioflaixbac.cat/seccions/d … /index.php) but firefox says to install flash plugin (is already installed) and Chromium seems to work but I can't listen it.

What I have to do?

Thanks a lot, and excuse my poor english.

Re: Can't listen online radio on browser

You can use Mplayer or anything else that supports m3u files outside of the browser:

mplayer http://flaix.stream.flumotion.com/flaix/flaixbac.mp3.m3u

Re: Can't listen online radio on browser

Mmmm Ok, thank you for your answer but isn't possibly anything more easy?

When I'm with friends, some way to do it by them? XD

Perhaps linking m3u extension with VLC or similar?

Thank you anyway!

Re: Can't listen online radio on browser

The page you linked to is asking for a media player plugin. For this you can install and use either totem-plugin (gstreamer backend) or gecko-mediaplayer (mplayer backend). I should also note that I had trouble getting mplayer to output sound when another audio application was running so totem-plugin might be a preferable option, more so if you're using Gnome.

Edit: Clicking on the flash icon works too:

mplayer fails to play a Radio Paradise aac stream for me at:  http://www.radioparadise.com/musiclinks/rp_128aac.m3u

yet works if I curl the URL to give: mplayer http://scfire-ntc-aa03.stream.aol.com:80/stream/1049

Is mplayer failing or is this the way its supposed to work?

You really should have opened a new thread for this. Anyway...
