Hi,
I am on KDE 4.5.1, I have a problem with recognising a new device when loading an iso with cdemu.
On my laptop, loading the iso with cdemu works fine, it is mapped to /dev/sr1, but there is no new device notification nor the drive appearing in dolphin. However K3b does recognise the loaded iso and can display its properties.
I can also manually mount the device to a folder with "mount /dev/sr1 ~/tmp -t iso9660" for instance, and that works to see the files in the iso, but I don't understand why device notifier doesn't notify me of a new device when I load an iso with cdemu; it used to work fine in kde 4.4, I don't know if this is related to 4.5, but I don't think so as on my desktop computer it still works ok with device notifier.
I also noticed that the AUR kde-cdemu-manager service does not appear in dolphin context menu anymore, both on my laptop and desktop..
Can someone help me understanding why cdemu devices are not seen by the device notifier in kde, and hopefully restore it ?
Thanks

Today the issue disappeared!
I don't understand, yesterday I spent my whole afternoon trying to find why it was not recognised, I rebooted a few times without any luck. In the evening I still had a cdemu iso mounted and left my laptop in "suspend to ram" state, and this morning as soon as I wake from suspend to ram I have a notification from device notifier that my iso is available! I tried to unmount / mount and reboot then mount / unmount, it now works fine...
So it seems the issue fixed itself... Don't know how though..
And the new version of kde-cdemu-manager works fine as well.

Ok, I removed the the [solved] tag, but for me now it seems to work...

For you is working by default (after boot), or only after suspend?

After shutdown/reboot with mounted image it works for a while.
