MPD + Ario - How to Show the Embedded Album Artwork

Hey,

I have the cover artwork for all of my music embedded in the MP3 file, however when I load up Ario (or any front-end really) the artwork doesn't show up. I'm not sure what I need to do to make MPD scan this information into the database?

I searched the forum and google for an answer, but I think I'm using the wrong search terms...

Thanks in advance for the help!

I don't think MPD supports embedded album art, at least it's not mentioned in the protocol documentation.

correct - and it does so with good reasons.

embedded covers are a back hack. tags are designed to be text-only. putting binaries inside of it is bad practice and breaks compatibility with some players/devices in addition.
apart from that an album cover belongs to the album, not to individual tracks, so the only correct place to put them is the album directory.
