After having difficulties with the newest nvidia blob drivers and xorg server 1.8-rc2 I attempted to switch to the Nouveau driver. My understanding is that the 7300go should be supported by it. Unfortunately, no matter what I do, when I have an external monitor plugged in, I cannot get the internal lcd to function. It just shows strange colors and refuses to respond to xrandr commands to enable it. Any advice on getting this working would be very appreciated.
