Sound missing randomly

I have a strange problem on my Fujitsu Amilo Pro v3205.

Sometimes when I start the computer the sound is missing. There are no error messages (I couldn't find anything in /var/log), I can start music programs, alsamixer settings are fine, but the sound is not coming out of my speakers/headphones. The only way I know to cure the situation is to reboot the computer (sometimes more than once).

There is one symptom: when I boot the computer I can hear a quiet noise in the headphones (standard noise produced by the integrated soundcard). The noise disappears moreless when the "Loading modules" is displayed. Then, normally the noise appears again around when the login prompt is displayed. If it doesn't, the sound doesn't work.

I compared the lsmod output in "bad" and "good" boots, but no modules were missing.

I thought that maybe it might be related to powersaving options, but /sys/module/snd_hda_intel/parameters/power_save contains 0, which means that powersaving should be off...

I have no idea what else I could do to trace the problem.
