CDROM

Hey guys, should be easy.  Do I need to add a regular user to a certain group to access the cdrom?  If so, what command would I type?  Thanks in advance.

Re: CDROM

you need to add the user to the "optical" group to access optical drivers...
then do the following to add "blondboy71" to the group:

blondboy71$ groups
users
blondboy71$ usermod -G users,optical blondboy71

add more groups after the -G to keep doing it... you may want to add yourself to the audio group as well, to properly play audio
