Problem with installing Nvidia GF 9500M driver.

Hello,

Im trying atleast a month install Arch in Oracle VM Virtualbox. I tried to use the Arch Linux beginners guide and the Arch Forums and use google but it didint help. I failed always in some point installing Nvidia Driver. I installed it but after i tryed to start openbox then i got error. I have tryed to configure nvida driver manually (or maybe it was X, tutorial was in arch wiki) but it didint work. My graphics card is Nvidia GeForce 9500M (GF 9400MG + GF 9200MGS) (in dell studio xps 13). I have installed xorg, mesa and nvidia (pacman -S nvidia).

My question is next:

When i open startx: it says

FATAL: Error inserting nvidia (....) No such device
(EE) NVIDIA: Failed to load the NVIDIA kernel module...
(EE) NVIDIA: system kernel log or additional error messages.
(EE) Failed to load module ''nvidia'' (module-specific error, 0=
(EE) No drivers avilable

Fatal server error:
no screens found
....

giving up.
xinit: Connection refused (errno 111): unable to connect to X server
xinit: No such provess (errno 3): Server error.

---
Im out of ideas, i understand that the Nvidia driver is installed but it dont work or what?
(Im sorry for my bad english).

Thanks.

Re: Problem with installing Nvidia GF 9500M driver.

In Virtualbox, you don't dont have an nVidia graphics card.  You have a virtualized graphics card provided by the VM.

Re: Problem with installing Nvidia GF 9500M driver.

I think VirtualBox doesn't yet support xorg-server 1.8.

Re: Problem with installing Nvidia GF 9500M driver.

I havent read that text before but I tried to install guest additions before, but failed when I tried to mount cdrom. I tried install guest additions from that page, when i tryed to mount it said: mount: cant find /media/cdrom/ in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab.

Maybe insert

/dev/cdrom /media/cdrom auto ro,user,noauto,unhide 0 0

into /etc/fstab then or create the needed folder by hand.

Ok, i did install guest additions and removed Nvidia package, but when i startx then still it gives the same errors, (like nvidia not found etc).
