Hi,
I'm trying to recompile the kernel to enable Macbook Pro's trackpad, however, I'm having troubles with the other packages not using it as the default kernel (kernel26) and hence making lotsa packages incompatible. How can I just tweak some settings, recompile it as an ARCH kernel, such that other packages can use it?
Thanks!

Hi,
Have you tried http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ker … rom_Source ?
All the required steps are mentioned in this wiki, I believe.

I thought that was done with the default Arch kernel these days.

Isn't the latest kernel 2.6.34? On this very kernel, the trackpad is still not working.
I tried following the wiki but that just created another kernel image, and seems incompatible with the other packages.
