[SOLVED] Kdenlive fails with X errors

Hi all,

I just upgraded Kdenlive to v0.7.8 and now it fails to start giving X errors. The Configure window appears briefly and then closes. Here is the output when run from terminal.

.xsession-errors is basically this message repeated quite a few times.

klauncher(16255)/kio (KLauncher): SlavePool: No communication with slave.

I haven't used Kdenlive in a few weeks but this problem only appeared after the upgrade. Any ideas?

I tried installing the AUR package (svn) and got the same result. Reported to kdenlive bug tracker

@Mikko777 Are you using QtCurve?

I was using QtCurve and I switched to Oxygen and Kdenlive started up normally. I fiddled with the opacity settings in QtCurve and it eventually worked. Here are my QtCurve settings.

Well obvious fix is obvious

No I was / am using besbin, guess the kdenlive problem was with the transparencies.
