NTP, time running forward

The time on my computer is running forward, i know i can fix it with something like:
ntpdate 0.pool.ntp.org

If i use the NTP daemon, will the time automaticly synchronise or do i need to make a cronjob for ntpdate ?

Re: NTP, time running forward

BTW: read the wiki first - there's an ntp howto for ntpd and openntpd (I use the last one).
