Recently when hacking my copy of Thunar I realized it was out of date. http://archive.xfce.org/src/xfce/thunar/1.1/ shows that these are clearly full releases that are newer than the 1.0.2 in extra. So I went to the web interface to flag thunar out of date and I saw that it already had been.
Today I went there again to check if any new versions had come out and instead what I saw was thunar 1.0.2 NOT flagged out of date. The maintainer must've removed the previous flag so there is no point in me flagging it again.
Why was this done?

Great things come in tar.xz packages.

The newer versions are certainly not well advertised, no mention that I can find on the main Thunar or Xfce sites.
You may want to send an e-mail to the developers list and ask if there is something blocking it from the repos.

Release notes for 1.1.2
=======================
This is a development release leading up to Thunar 1.2.0 for Xfce 4.8.
Please report all the regressions and bugs you find at bugzilla.xfce.org
(and don't forget to set the version to 1.1.2).

Oh thanks. I assume 1.1.1 is a dev release too even though it doesn't say that.

Yes it is. I built it the other day (along with the requisite versions of libxfce4util, exo and libxfce4ui), any apps which depend on thunar-vfs will exhibit issues (squeeze/xfburn), GIO seems slow.
