KDE 4.5 Netbook Workspace does not recognize ACPI Events anymore

A few days ago a pacman -Syu updated KDE from 4.4 to 4.5 on my Dell inspiron mini (1012). After the update the KDE netbook workspace does not work as expected regarding ACPI events and the locking of the screen.

ACPI events,  like closing the lid or pressing the powerbutton are handled by the acpid as usual but they are not handled by powerdevil any more (so suspend or poweroff do not work), trying to lock the screen does nothing. If I switch back to workspace desktop everything works fine.

I tried this issue on three different installations. Two desktop computers and the mentioned netbook.

Does anyone here noticed these errors, too? Or can you reproduce this error on your installation? If so, I should file a bug report then.

Re: KDE 4.5 Netbook Workspace does not recognize ACPI Events anymore

Tried to reproduce the bug using the latest iso of the "KDE Four Live" CD, which is made of KDE SC 4.5.0. The behaviour is always reproducible. So I filed bug 251434 at bug.kde.org.
