Hi,
Is anyone here using Kupfer? If yes, I've got good news for you
Recently I wrote a Pacman plugin just for myself, to have sort of a simple GUI to the package manager. Now I've decided to share it.
The code is available in my git fork: http://github.com/10098/kupfer/blob/mas … /pacman.py
A short demo video is available: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vohnZsWBCKs
To try it out, just copy the pacman.py file into /usr/local/share/kupfer/kupfer/plugin and relaunch Kupfer.
Feel free to write comments/suggestions here.
Thanks for the attention!

Watched your video. I hate to be negative here, but I don't quite get it. In what way is your "GUI" better or faster than the command line? Seems to me like it involves a hell of a lot more typing/clicking action than a simple pacman -Syu in a terminal.

Well - you don't have to open/switch to a terminal in order to install a package. Also, there's no clicking, only typing ![]()

You still bring up a terminal to type the password into I see
.
I happen to think using an actual terminal is easier. Or, for example, launching your terminal from kupfer (or gnome-do in my case). To each his own however.
