Ok guys just a quick question, i have an .xm for milkytracker but would like to use it as a ringtone for my mobile. So i need to convert it to mp3 how would i go about doing this?

I believe milky tracker can output to wav.
you can then recode that wav to mp3 through lame:
sudo pacman -S lame
and then something like:
lame input.wav output.mp3
by default, this will output to 128 kbit/sec mp3, if you want a higher bitrate you should read through the manpages or guide:
