The gedit-plugins-extra package used to be in the AUR but is no more available there lately. A quick search with pkgfile revealed that it should be in community now:
$ pkgfile LaTeXPlugin.gedit-plugin
community/gedit-plugins-extraYet I cannot find such a (x86_64) package neither on my up-to-date mirror nor via "Package Search" on the home page.

Are you sure you have an up to date pkgfile db?

Edit: is this the plugin you want:

pkgfile is up-to-date and yes, I am sure about gedit-plugins-extra. ![]()
As I said, it used to be in the AUR until one or two weeks ago. I used it mainly for the LaTeXPlugin feature but lost the package somehow during a cleanup and cannot retrieve it again.
I could certainly install it directly from the Sourceforge LaTeXPlugin page but certainly would prefer the Arch package I am used to.

Please reread my edited post; you can find the LaTeX plugin in AUR.

Only was a bit too slow. Yes this is it and thanks for the link. (I searched for it but it looks like I made some typo. Grrr...
)
Still, I am interested why the AUR gedit-plugins-extra has been removed and why pkgfile (falsely) reports it as being in community.

I have no idea why the AUR search doesn't list it, but I found it:

Thanks, karol. Although it is http://arm.konnichi.com/community/os/x8 … pkg.tar.xz I need.
But this is helpful anyway because I lost http://arm.konnichi.com from my bookmarks collection. Thanks for reminding. ![]()

It's all your fault! You ask for help w/o telling whether you're using 32 or 64-bit Arch, noob! You're wasting my time ;-)
OK, now I feel much better ;P

This is interesting. How did you do it? I always get a "No packages matched your search criteria." response.

Quoting from my original post: "Yet I cannot find such a (x86_64) package ..."

I am beginning to understand. There is no PKGBUILD anymore in this package. ![]()
Edit: And no maintainer any more. Well, I left a comment there after all.
Now, why does pkgfile report the package being in community?

gedit-plugins-extra is being removed from community, afaik individual plugins will be repackaged.
you should get some more infos in a bit.

Ah, this makes sense. I think this solves the issue.
Thanks.

That is correct. Quoting the email I sent to aur-general:
I removed it from [community] because upstream stopped updating the plugin collection around two years ago. Most of the plugins included in the last release (2.24.1) are badly outdated by now. The preferable course of action is to add individual packages to the AUR for each of the plugins. (Packages for the latex and autotab plugins already exist.)
Sorry for the confusion. ![]()
