[SOLVED] - what is with the arch-games repo?

Hi,

I tried a pacman -Syu on my laptop and it got stuck after checking the repos, just stopped dead. No CTRL+C or D would work, just a kill - the lock file remained.

The log didn't help having logged just the latest commands but not the outcome. I then came to look at pacman.conf and disabled all but the basic repos - it boiled down to the arch-games repo being the culprit. Once disabled and a pacman -Syy everything worked fine and dandy again.

Soooo, wassup? Shame to lose the games repo!

EDIT - typo

Which server?
Server = http://pseudoform.org/arch-games/games/i686
seems to be OK.

Hm, I had the arch.twilight.net server, changed it to pseudoform and everything is working fine again!

Thanks a lot, ever vigilant karol smile

EDIT: Did I miss some announcement or other?

That mirror has been down for a while. I recommend using the archgames-mirrorlist package from the repo.

Hm, I think I'd have the resources to put up a mirror now - a quick check on the wiki tells of local mirrors only and tries to convince the reader that it is a really bad idea although I am still not sure why... Out of interest, how would I go about it?
