From Slack to Arch

Hello folks;

Yep, I made the switch today from Slack to Arch. I have to say that the packages being built for i686 does make a difference.

I used Gentoo for a while, but frankly got tired of the long compile times for everything. Arch seems like a great compromise between fast performance and fast package installation.

I think I'll be sticking with Arch for a good while.

You'll soon realize that packages are really poor quality and really not tested that much. But hey, who cares about quality and testing? Archlinux is about something else... It's about... err... Anyone knows?

Cheers, have fun with this meaning less and broken distro.

Oh by the way, try the very complex 'gzexe' program... Really PATHETIC.

If I could, I'd smack this guy. Is anyone going to delete this useless troll dribble?

The sad thing is this fellow didn't have the guts to use the regular forum ID, and felt making a new one would blanket him from the comments from others without appearing like a wanker on the regular one. That seems to be the case. Wanker.

Re: From Slack to Arch

Well, all I know is I haven't run into any major problems yet and I've installed a lot of packages today.

Besides, if something doesn't work right you can always get the source and compile it yourself. Asssuming you know how.

I pretty much just ignore the trolls, not worth the bother.
