XDM won't automatically start

Hey all. Just installed Arch tonight (all by myself!) and I'm loving it so far. I'm using Xfce and everything's been chipper. However, I've come across a minor problem. Arch will boot fine, but I can't seem to get it to boot to XDE. It just boots to the raw terminal; I have to log in the old-fashioned way and type 'startxfce4,' which is kind of a pain. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Here's my /etc/rc.conf, or at least the pertaining part:

DAEMONS=(syslog-ng network netfs crond alsa xdm)

Re: XDM won't automatically start

Yes I sure did.

Edit: Problem solved. I was doing things as root.
