[SOLVED] DVD drive missing

I went to use my DVD drive for the first time in at least one month, but none of the usual /dev files are available:
/dev/dvd
/dev/cd
/dev/sr0

Am I just looking in the wrong place? I'm running 2.6.35 x86.

EDIT: It helps to remember to REATTACH THE CABLE if you remove it while installing a new piece of hardware.
