I've installed libdvdread libdvdnav and libdvdcss and have installed Gnome Mplayer, and every gstreamer package, but DVD's still don't play. Movie Player (gnome) just closes unexpectedly when trying to read a DVD.
Any ideas?

Can you play them with mplayer (not gnome-mplayer)?

Did you run that script thingy? You know, that one... I think it comes with the libdvdcss package. It sets your "region" settings or some crap like that.
Also, I hate DVDs.
EDIT: For some reason, I can't find what I'm thinking about in the Arch wiki. (I'm at work)

No i haven't heard of that script thingie lol.
Karol, i tried both players. They both don't work. One outputs this message: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=105457
UPDATE: Apparently it started working for no apparent reason. I didn't do anything. So greater forces must be at work here.

Haha, uuum, probably not! lol. I'm gunna do a few more tests... Perhaps it won't play certain DVD's which might be encoded differently (older) or something.
