Indeed... nobody will notice it there.

Also, RR it's a time sensitive news provider. Advertising such a dynamic thing with a static old fashioned link doesn't sounds professional.

Anyway, i just bought Osmos. Would you like a review for the Gaming section?

If I get quality news for free, I'm gonna look for a way to subscribe to them - like an rss feed. They're not hidden, they're on the RR page.

No one will notice it? Tell that to the 188 people following on Twitter, 77 on Identi.ca, 114 on Google Buzz, and who knows how many email and RSS subscriptions.

According to Google Reader (I have no idea how this works) Subscribers:140
I don't know if it's for both rss and atom feeds, but it's pretty high anyway.

Thanks for that I'm still trying to figure out how to get stats out of feedburner for email, and haven't even considered tracking rss subscriptions.

i would like to interview some creative people who use arch as their main production-os. this would give them an opportunity to tell abit about their work and the community some insight in what is possible with arch when it comes to stuff like graphics, video, audio and the like.

kgas you submit your article and you wait until the administrator (Ghost) reviews it). If he/she accepts then your article gets published.
I have a question.
Can we write articles simply regarding some technologies? For example why using x type of software is good for you? Or are these type of articles considered to be irrelevant?

I know I'm late to the party -- I only check in once a month or two and make sure there aren't any urgent issues before I run an upgrade -- but I'm still a little puzzled as to where RR fits into the scheme of things (or the "schema things", as we database geeks say). I see others have asked how RR differs from the wiki and I understand the difference between time-sensitive vs. permanent/updatable, but how does RR differ from the forums right here at bbs.archlinux.org? Posts here are also time-sensitive, "fire and forget" announcements that anyone can contribute and moderators approve before publishing.

Sorry... really, I feel guilty for not jumping on the "yay more Arch stuff" bandwagon but when critical information may end up in multiple locations it means I have to check all umpteen sources rather than just go to one central site to get news. Oh well, it sounds like y'all are enjoying it so I'll just go back to lurking for another couple of months :-)

I like to think of RollingRelease.com as something more ephemeral than is good for a wiki, but that needs to have more attention paid to it than the forums allow. Especially given how fast the forums roll these days, a single post, with no followups, gets lost in a hurry.

That being said, I wish my Rolling Release post would get approved

If no one contributes, I think it's OK to let it die, but maybe archive the contents so I don't have to use Google's cached pages ;P
