[Solved] X11 CPU Hog

System: DWM 5.8.2, Not using xcompmgr, nVidia drivers (256.53), compositing disabled, kernel 2.6.35.7-1

Here's the issue:
X11 eats up tons of CPU when switching workplaces or tabs on a browser there and there is substantially more lag. I switch workplaces to one that has urxvt running on it. The text inside urxvt doesn't appear all it once. It slowly loads from the top downwards (takes about 1 second to load all text when it used to be instantaneous). Scrolling up/down on anything with lots of text is laggy, as well. Heard someone else was having the same issue in IRC.

It started since the last X.org update (1.9.0-1).

Re: [Solved] X11 CPU Hog

Try using the nvidia-beta drivers from the AUR (260.foo).

https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=105814 etc.
