abs location

Hi,
I have founded that abs location in my system is /usr/var/abs. I have read in the forum that they refers as /usr/abs. My question is How do I relocate abs from /usr/var/abs to /usr?

Thansk in advance

Re: abs location

I believe that the new current standard is to have your abs in /var/abs....

to move it I believe you just edit your /etc/abs/abs.conf file to point to /var/abs (or wherever). ABSROOT="/var/abs"

optionally you can move your old abs directory over to the new location (if you have custom PKGBUILDs, etc.) or just delete the old directory and run "abs" to re-build completely.

Hapy.

Hi nacha,
actually your location is /var/abs which is the prefered one. /usr/var is a
symlink to /var. abs used to be located in /usr/abs this has changed soon
after the 0.5(nova) release.

hApy said everything else.
