Pages redirect under Chromium

I've been having this issue a lot. First up, I'm on Arch64, Compiz standalone, just using the Chromium package in the repos.

Now then, it seems like quite frequently when I visit a few webpages (mainly google or YouTube), I get redirected to AOL.com, once in a while Yahoo.com, and even MORE often to a MySpace profile. If Facebook is redirecting, I get a profile for "Watchdog". If Google is redirecting, I get "Jake".

If I close out and re-open, it sometimes works. Other times I have to kill ndsc and restart it. But it happens a LOT. As in, multiple times a day. What's going on?

Just Chromium? What happens with other browsers?

DNS poisoning?  Is your router providing you with DNS server address? What if you try using another Server (like 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4)?

Re: Pages redirect under Chromium

I don't know much about how to fix this, but try other browsers. You can also try clearing the cache in ~/.cache/chromium. That worked for me when I had a problem.

Re: Pages redirect under Chromium

You could also try the google-chrome package from the aur, since it is almost the exact same thing as chromium.

Re: Pages redirect under Chromium

Actually it happens in all browsers. And... on other machines.

I'm at a complete loss here.

Re: Pages redirect under Chromium

Are any of your machines a laptop/netbook, so you can try with a different internet connection?
