No keyboard in X after today update

Good day,
I updated my system today and, after a reboot, found that my keyboard doesn't work in X on my laptop.
However, I have managed to make it work by plugging an USB keyboard - which works- and typing 'setxkbmap es' on a terminal. Then my regular keyboard works again.

There is no error in Xorg.0.log, and it apparently says the keyboard has been detected and set up even before the touchpad (which works).

I don't know where else to look. Any ideas?

The list of updates, acording to pacman.log, is:

Re: No keyboard in X after today update

I'm guessing that you boot straight up into X?

If that's the case then you could try adding your command to your .xsession file.
Or, you could add it to your /etc/rc.local file, I believe.

Re: No keyboard in X after today update

Thank you for the reply.
I do indeed boot straight to X (actually, to Slim, who's configured to autologin).
Logging out allowed me to see that Slim gets the keyboard, but then actual X doesn't (I use e17, by the way).

I already had setxkbmap on .xinit, but I put it on .xsession too, and It kinda works now: I don't have cursor keys, but the rest is OK. Moreover, it still is a partial workaround, I'd really like to solve the real issue.

Edit: Nevermind. I found the culprit: a little module I have had for months which allows me to change the keyboard layout. I unloaded it, restarted X, and voila: I have a full-working keyboard again.
