Hey,
I was programming an ncurses based C-application yesterday. Then, when I figured I was done for the day, and was going to close MonoDevelop, it gave me some error message about not being able to close the project. I just hit OK and the program closed.
Then, I was going to continue programming today, but now Monodevelop won't open the files! I also tried making a new project with new files, but those won't open either. I also tried removing my .config/MonoDevelop folder, but then, at startup, it just gave me some Unhandled Exception-error, and the files still won't open
If I try to build/compile/run the whole project, it gives similar errors as well.
So, has anyone else had similar problems? And how do I fix this? I'm going to try reinstalling MonoDevelop now, but strongly doubt that will fix anything...
EDIT: Yep, reinstall didn't solve anything...
Some details (latest versions of everything):
kernel: 2.6.35-ARCH (2.6.35.7-1)
monodevelop: 2.4-1
mono: 2.6.7-1
Arch Linux x86_64, full system upgrade done about one hour ago.
Oh, and don't worry, my code is intact, I checked it with mousepad... Seems like I didn't loose a single line of it (I tend to press crtl+s a lot, which may have saved me this time )
I'll probably continue programming with Eclipse in the meantime, but I just like MonoDevelop so much more...
OK, so I reinstalled Arch (not because of this error, had to format the drive differently so figured I'd reinstall almost as fast as I would restore backups...) and now it works again. Very strange error, and I'm still interested in knowing wtf happened Marking this solved though.
