[Gnome] topmost pixels unusable

I'll try to make myself clear :

In gnome when i move the mouse at the very top of the screen then try to click the Applications / Places / System menu the click is not registered. That is very annoying, as i have to move the mouse a few pixels below the topmost position to show the different menus hmm

Is there any way to fix this ?

Thanks for any help :-)

Re: [Gnome] topmost pixels unusable

Are you using compiz?  I think compiz may reserve the edge pixels for wm commands.  Not certain though, as I'm not using it anymore, but I seem to recall that being the case.

Re: [Gnome] topmost pixels unusable

Seems like one needs to disable or change shortcuts in order to have functional click-able edges

Re: [Gnome] topmost pixels unusable

I tried with the compiz' settings of a friend, and while he doesn't have this problem showing on his computer, it is present on mine. Seems like if compiz is involved, it must have something to do with it's version. He is on Ubuntu 9.10, ccsm version 0.8.2. Any ideas ?

Re: [Gnome] topmost pixels unusable

Basically, if you want clickable edges you need to disable every shortcut in compiz that uses screen edges.
