Check the bugs page for an existing bug or report a new one.

R300 is gallium3d baseb now and the rest classic mesa driver.

I have noticed the same with nouveau but didn't bother because its in an early state anyway.

The blur effect is to blame for most problems i believe. I disabled it and everything is working fine now on my Ati HD3870

mesa is not quiet stable here. i don't know why, but when i run a game like wine war3, the system will complete down a few minutes later. and this also happened readomly when i only using compiz.
X700 mobility, i don't really think it's about switching to gallium, cuz i was using -git version of mesa and gallium r300g, too. and it was fine.

I also have a X700 mobility and I use the testing packages and I have absolutley no problems with compiz. It works now very well with the gallium driver and its faster than the classic driver.
