Software Database

This is a new project and too early to be announced but I need some help. Currently its far from complete with no data except for test. To get the database working and to finalize the navigation and appearance depends on the stored data.

This database is for "after-install", to know what are available and setting up right softwares to do things we want to do. Base and related system softwares will not be included considering Arch Linux is already up and running with a basic install. For base and general information we find on AL's website.
http://www.archlinux.org/packages.php?s_repo=1

As I said, the success of this database depends on data. Name of packages are copied from AL's website but the software relationships (not dependency), type of application, detail information, availability of non-AL softwares, etc. has to be searched on internet. I am not an active internet browser, I would like to know popular url addresses of Linux softwares and good information websites, if available.

Re: Software Database

Thanks. I am glad there is a software database site. I have not done any further development on the database when realizing the huge work of feeding the system. I will contact this group. They plan is to develop it into a PHP/MySQL database.

I suggest Arch Linux to make a web link to this site.
