Input sound

Hi there,

i just installed Arch64 and Skype from the multilib repository.

I went to the skype options to select the correct microphone input and and I didn't find the correct. See the screenshot here:

I thought that it will be an alsa problem or something but in kde mixer the mic is there and if I un-mute it I can hear me on the speakers.
Then I decided it's skype's problem. Installed audacity, watched around the inputs and it has the same as skype, in kcontrol again the same.

What can I do?

My motherboard is an P5K-E, snd_hda_intel kernel module loaded and soundcard found & configured by ALSA (with alsaconf cmd).

(On my previous Arch installation, before 1+ year everything worked good.)

See if this section in the Skype wiki article helps you. Add that to your .asoundrc or /etc/asound.conf file and select "skype (asym)" for the microphone setting in Skype's sound devices option pane. Before I added that configuration, alsa threw an error when I ran Skype through a terminal and slowed my entire machine. And my microphone still didn't work in Skype. Adding that config solved the problem for me.
