MenuMaker problem

Hi guys.

im trying to make  and autoconfiguration of my openbox menu. but it doesnt seem to work. The command mmaker -vf OpenBox3, and then reconfigure works prefect on one laptop but the other one doesnt seem to update the menu. i cant figure out why. I use the exact command and everything but the menu keeps being the default one.

any suggestions?

Re: MenuMaker problem

Why don't you just use obmenu ? You can manually remove what you want.

It's been a while since I've used mmaker but does it produce any output on the command line?

Re: MenuMaker problem

I dropped mmaker quite some time ago in favor of xdg_menu (in the archlinux-xdg-menu community package). Based on some easy scripting this allows me to produce more individualized openbox menus while keeping track of installed applications.

To know or not to know ...
... the questions remain forever.

this is the output:

/usr/lib/menumaker/Keywords.py:11: DeprecationWarning: the sets module is deprecated
  from sets import Set as _Set
/usr/lib/menumaker/Keywords.py:27: DeprecationWarning: object.__init__() takes no parameters
  str.__init__(self, s)

  debian... 69 apps found

  no terminal emulator specified; will use the default
  using Xterm as terminal emulator
* writing to ~/.config/openbox/menu.xml
* done

the same output on the other laptop that works. except "apps found" ofcourse.
