Having trouble with my Sound Card (Sound Blaster Xtreme).

Hey everyone..

I just recently got a new PC -- and I can't for the love me get the sound card to produce sound. I know it works (I tried in Windows), but I can't seem to get it working correctly in linux.

It is, as reported in KDE..a "Creative Labs [SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio] CA0110-IBG" . I've found some info on the net about it..but it all seems very out-dated..linking often to links that no longer exist. Could anyone possibly help me get this working?

Thanks!
Joe.

The chip/card is probably not supported by ALSA. Have you tried the OSS driver http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/OSS yet?
