Problem finding proper packages{SOLVED}

im looking for wvstreams but every mirror i go to only the pkg.tar.xz extension instead of the pkg.tar.gz.
how do i find one with the pkg.tar.gz extension

It is only available as a tar.xz.

yes    pkg.tar.xz .when i put it on my flash drive and boot into linux i have a few different files autorun,Install but im not sure how to in stall or even if i can

Your point being?   All new packages are tar.xz.

i know how to install the packages with the pkg.tar.gz (pacman -S) but how do i install the packages with pkg.tar.xz.
when im in linux and im installing gz file it looks like this pacman -S name.pkg.tar.gz but when im looking at the xz its just 5 files install,autorun...... im not sure how to install the file when its like that

Well, you do not use pacman -S at all...   You use pacman -U.  And it works fine for tar.gz and tar.xz files too.

im not sure if this helps but im installing the file from a flash drive and once im in linux theres no tar.xz extension its just a bunch of files like its been
extracted


sorry allan for wasting your time,i just realized i was mounting the wrong device.the files i was seeing were for my rocket stick
the tar.xz work fine...if there was ever a noob
