What about repos.paconky file in your .config folder, to set up pacman updates notifier?

And .Xdefaults too. Like your terminal setup.

Uploaded to the folder on the link above. Check this thread by Xyne on how to set pacman update notifier.

Re: October 2010 Screenshots

Thank you smile tint panel at the top is transparent, but it still overwrites conky's configs sad What i could do wrong?

EDIT: Heh, with xcompmgr everything works now smile But it seems very buggy... Sir, are you using xcomp too? Or any better program?

Yes, flies are awesome.
It's amazing how many things you can learn from such a tiny insect.

Configuration is almost the same as my last screenshot, it feels great.
Details are in screenshot thanks to screenfetch and configs can be found on my 'aspire' hg bitbucket repo (check my sig).

Let me know what you think!

Good night,

Without compositing you don't get real transparency - it only takes a part of the wallpaper and uses it as a background, so that it seems transparent. That's why it overwrites conky.

You could try cairo-compmgr, but from my experience, that's even buggier than xcompmgr.

It's xfce4-panel smile It's my favourite because it looks nice and it's very light on resources

Just one thing: I think 2px looks horrible with borders enabled, but still... big_smile

Say what?! Do you know that Xfwm4 can do its own compositing without xcompmgr? It's way smoother and nicer looking too. Just open the XFCE settings GUI and go to "Window Manager Tweaks."

Yep, I did know about this before I messed with xcompmgr. I guess I could use either or with xfwm4, but just ended up leaving xcompmgr after experimenting with its settings a few months ago.
