Hello guys,
I just have one user whcih is highlighted when starting my system. But while I can choose this user via pressing return with Distros like Mint, Ubuntu or Fedora, with Arch nothing happens and I have to click manually with my mouse on this user to be prompted to the password authentification.
I hope you understand my problem. How can I configure this in GDM as it have to be possible to work?

Same Problem here, but I am sure it used to work a few weeks ago. Maybe the upgrade to the version 2.32 is the reason for this, would also like to hear from a workaround.

This happened after the upgrade to gnome 2.32. Mint may be using gnome 2.30. However, I don't know any workarounds.

Same here with vers 2.32 -> solution Tab -> Enter

I've been using the down arrow + return. But it would be nice if the old just return functionality, well, returned, seeing as the first user is highlighted.

they said that is not a bug in gdm, but one in metacity
Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

A quite usable workaround. Thank you for this hint.

@wonder thanks for the info (and also for the work)
seems like this version of gnome has some bugs ...

And I thought all releases until Gnome 3 were only bugfixes releases but not to produce a bunch of new ones.

I think there are some code cleanup and rewrite and that might not be finished and people try to make the software stable for the release (2.32) and after they continue the work to gnome3 ... I might be wrong here, but this is my opinion.
