[SOLVED] Verbatim USB headphones not detected

I did use this head set once when I bought them in september and they showed up in gnome's pulseaudio-mixer-applet. I can't recall installing anything, just plugged them in...

However when I tried today nothing appeared, and dmesg gives med this:

usb 1-5.2: new full speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 4
usb 1-5.2: device descriptor read/64, error -32
usb 1-5.2: device descriptor read/64, error -32
usb 1-5.2: new full speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 5
usb 1-5.2: device descriptor read/64, error -32
usb 1-5.2: device descriptor read/64, error -32
usb 1-5.2: new full speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 6
usb 1-5.2: device not accepting address 6, error -32
usb 1-5.2: new full speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 7
usb 1-5.2: device not accepting address 7, error -32

Does anyone know if something is changed in pulseaudio or kernel or anything?

Try it on another machine. There could always be a hardware fault.

Ah. Looks like hardware fault. Windows presents it as "not recognized".

Strange thing is, i used it playing Fallout this morning. Thats why I assumed it was a linux problem...

Hm, did you try the identical USB port as this morning ?
Sometimes USB devices behave strange when being plugged in separate ports.

I have tried at 2 Arch boxes, 1 Ubuntu box, and 2 computers with vista... None of them working...
