XfApplet can't add gnome-system-monitor applet after a recent upgrade

I'm using xfce-panel with XfApplet to show the gnome-system-monitor applyet, because I prefer it to the default xfce system load monitors.

But, afetr a recent batch of uprates (I haven't updated for a few weeks) XfApplet doesn't show the gnome system monitor among the available applets.

I've installed every package that I thought has anything to do with gnome panel applets, but to no avail.

Does anybody have a suggestion as to what could I try next?

Re: XfApplet can't add gnome-system-monitor applet after a recent upgrade

Hi.

I had similar problems. I've upgraded my system and some of gnome-applets stopped working in my xfce4-xfapplet.
After downgrading gnome-applets from 2.32.1.1-1 to 2.30.0-1 everything is back to normal.

Most applets were converted to use the new dbus panel applet api introduced in GNOME 2.32. Xfce only supports the old bonobo-based applets, so a lot of applets are unavailable to Xfce now.
