Hi - just done:
# pacman -Syu
as per normal once every 3 days or so and have noticed on boot up now after it says:
"Starting hotplug daemon"
it comes up with:
grep: Unmatched [ or [^
and then goes onto:
"Starting networking"
and carry's on as normal after that, log in etc -
I think the update pulled in recent versions:
gcc 4
kdelibs
glibc
binutils
gnome-vfs
and one or two other packages.
Does anyone know what the issue is ? - thanks.

I have tried to run all scripts in /etc/hotplug.
I think the problem is in /etc/hotplug/usb.rc script
# /etc/hotplug/usb.rc stop
# /etc/hotplug/usb.rc start
grep: Unmatched [ or [^

# pacman -Syu
