Puppygames' Ultrabundle offer - anyone's tried it?

Puppygames is "for a limited time only" selling a bundle of three games for all platforms (win/mac/linux) for 5 dollars or 3 something euros. Anyone's given it a go? Know what you get? An executable, source code or a .deb? The games look nice but I don't want to switch to Ubuntu just to play them...

I haven't purchased, but there are conversion tools if it's packaged for a different distro - deb2targz, rpmextract, etc.

Some kind of java app, as it turns out... Neat versions of arcade classics - nice enough 'while-away-half-an-hour'-fun but not Plants-Vs-Zombies-addictive.

I bought the bundle and found the games to look good, and play well. Quite fun and addicting. Great arcade style games.

It does give me some problems, though: I keep getting an "Unable to launch application" error when I try to run 'Droid Assault' (unlike the other two games). I'm using the jre-package for java.

"Error: Failed to validate signing of launch file. The signed version does not match the downloaded version."

Under the 'Exception' tab I get:

I have tried as different users on the same machine. Each time, the java window downloads the software and then declares the error. Deleting the application and starting over in 'javaws -viewer' doesn't change it either...

I got this error too. If you use openjdk6 instead of jre or jdk then your problem should go away.

Yep, doesn't work with jre. With openjdk6 they work prefectly. It must be Arch jre that have a bug or something. I just ran it in Ubuntu with Sun (Oracle) jre and there is no problem.

Anyway, here's Aur packages for the 3 games. They work both for demo and full game. I have switch dependencies from jre to openjdk6 in the packages. If you're unhappy with the decision feel free to edit the dependency list.
